The Houston Wildcats started off the 2019 golf season with two wins (2-0).
Cole Pitchford’s 43, Collin Walker’s 45 and Cody Selander’s 49 on Monday helped Houston to a 187-193 victory over Fort Recovery during the first match of the year.
On Tuesday, the Wildcats defeated Lehman on by a score of 179 – 247 to improve to 2-0. Collin Walker fired a career-low 41, Cole Pitchford added a smooth 43, and Tyler Kies added a solid 45. This 9-hole team score of 179 marks our lowest score in years and is just 16 strokes off the school record!
The golf team will attempt to start their season 3-0 in their home match against New Knoxville on Friday.
