Tomorrow, Thursday, September 3, the first 20 Houston students that come to the JH volleyball game against Jackson Center will be allowed entry for free. In addition, the first 20 students that go to the HS match against Jackson Center will have free admittance. The students’ entrance fee for those matches will be covered by one of our local businesses, Purpose Driven Motors.

Picture Day is on Thursday. All students please plan to have your picture taken even if you do not plan to purchase photos as these will be in the yearbook. UVCC students and CCP students can arrive as early as 7:00 AM to have your picture taken.
The Cross Country Team is having a dine to donate at Chipotle in Sidney on September 9th from 5-9 PM. Please see the website for more information or pick up a flyer in the office.

Cross Country competed at a competitive Bob Schul Invitational Saturday. Our HS Boys finished 22nd out of 29 with the top finisher being Johnathon Young at 19:50. Our HS Girls finished 17th of 19 with top finisher Ava Mowery finishing 19th in 21:30 and Lyla Niekamp coming in at a PR of 27:44. JH top finishers were Emma Davis in 38th place and Callan Stapleton.
There will be a Wildcat Time meeting in the commons today for all students in grades 9-12 that are or plan to take part in an athletic program this school year. Please check in with your Wildcat Time teacher and then meet Mr. Judy in the commons.

Sophomores: today during Wildcat Time you will each need to complete your registration for our upcoming field trip to the Career Exploration Academy. Mrs. Merickel will be sending out the link to each Sophomore’s email, so everyone will have access to complete their own registration. This is easy and should take less than 5 minutes to complete.
The Chess Club had our first meeting yesterday after school. Those of you who want to participate who were not there at the meeting, please stop by the office or see Mrs. Merickel at lunch for a schedule of upcoming meetings Remember, anyone can join, no matter your experience level.
Our next meeting is Tuesday September 8th.

The High School girls Cross Country team finished 4th last night at the Shelby County Preview. Top finisher was Ava Mowery in second place. Our High School boys finished 7th with top finisher Konner Pleiman finishing 40th. Top finishers for the JH team were Emma Davis and Callan Stapleton.
