Eclipse Day – No School

The Hardin-Houston School District administration has been in consultation with local emergency management officials for several months regarding the upcoming solar eclipse. The expected surge of traffic the day of the eclipse and expected time of the full eclipse during dismissal time places our students and bus drivers in rare driving conditions. As a result, Hardin-Houston School will not be in session on Eclipse Day, Monday, April 8th. All students and staff will be provided a free pair of eclipse glasses the Friday prior in order to safely view this educational experience. In addition, the entire school campus will be closed in order to curtail any unintentional property damage from out of town visitors.
