  • Students today is Veteran’s Day.  Unfortunately, we are unable to hold our traditional in person recognition ceremony.  However, that does not diminish the importance of this day.  Today still affords us the opportunity to give our thanks and appreciation to those brave men and women that sacrificed to protect our freedoms.  I would like to thank all of the 7th and 8th grade students for writing the letters that we mailed to many of our local veterans. I would also like to thank Mr. Reister and the HS band for their rendition of the March of the Armed Forces and to Mr. Brown and the Advanced Tech class for creating the recording and video of that song that is available today on our website. I invite all students and staff to visit our website today and access that video under the “Virtual Veterans Day” tab.  And finally, thank you to all of our Veterans! Your service is valued and appreciated by everyone in the Houston community.
In honor of Veterans Day I would like everyone to stand and recite our Pledge of Allegiance.
