    2023 Hardin-Houston Wall of Honor Ceremony

    Please join as we induct Miss Coleen Lumpkin, Mr. Henry Ernst, and the late Mrs. Barb Heilers into the Hardin-Houston Wall of Honor. The ceremony will occur on Saturday, December 9th at the conclusion of the JV boys basketball game versus Ansonia at Houston High School.

    Buccaneer Holiday Basketball Tournament Information

    Facility: The JV games will be played in both the high school and K-8 gyms. All varsity games will be played in the K-8 gym.

    Admission: Doors will open 45 minutes before the start of the first game. Tickets for the JV games will be $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for students, and tickets for varsity will be $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. The gyms will be cleared between JV and Varsity, but not between each varsity game. There will be no passes accepted. The profits from the tournament will be split four ways between the participating varsity schools.

    Fan Entrance: Fans may enter the building for the JV games at either the high school entrance (Door #29) or main K-8 doors (Door #1). However, all fans must enter through the main K-8 entrance for the varsity games (Door #1). The high school entrance will be closed.

    PAJHS Induction

    The Philip S. Abbot Junior Honor Society held their fall induction ceremony on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.     Scholastic Book Fair

    Hardin-Houston Local School will hold our scholastic book fair from December 4-8 during school hours. Family night is Thursday December 7th from 3:00-7:00 PM. The Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits.

    NHS Thanksgiving Food Drive 2023-24

    The 2023 Thanksgiving Food Drive was an immense success! Thanks to the generosity of our students and staff, over 1,200 items were donated to the food pantry at the Houston Congregational Church. It is truly amazing to see the spirit of giving that our Wildcat families have extended to their neighbors! The National Honor Society thanks each and every one of you for your support.

    Fall Band Concert

    Hardin-Houston Local School will hold the Fall Band Concert on Tuesday November 14th at 6:00 PM in the Commons. There will be performances by the high school band, the jazz band, the junior high band and the choir. Come on out and support our talented musicians.

    Hardin-Houston Local School hosted a program to recognize, remember, and honor our veterans on Friday, November 10th.
