- Seniors in National Honor Society: we will be holding our first meeting of the year on Friday during Wildcat Time. Please plan to be here. We will meet in the Media Center.
- There will be a meeting Friday during WT for CURRENT freshman members of the Philip Abbott Junior Honor Society. We will be electing leadership for this school year and preparing for the upcoming induction. The meeting will be in Mrs. Maier’s room.
- Do you know how many amendments there are in the United States Constitution? Did you know that Benjamin Franklin was 81 years old when he signed the Constitution? Do you know how old the Constitution of the United States is? On September 17, 1787, 39 delegates signed the Constitution in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Today marks its 239th birthday—you would need a pretty big cake to fit all of those candles.

- All Sophomores are attending the Career Exploration Academy tomorrow morning. We will be outdoors, so please watch the weather; there is a chance of rain. While we will be under a roof most of the time, we will have to walk to the event and sessions, which are not covered, so please dress accordingly.

- Congratulations to the Varsity volleyball team for their win over Riverside on Saturday!
- The cross country team competed at the Piqua Invite Under the Lights Saturday. We had 12 runners set season best times in this highly competitive field of 46 teams. Congratulations to Brennan, Nate, Konner, Jayden, Elizabeth, Ava, Lyla, Paisley, Kaelyn, Gabriella, Tiffanie and Hayden.Congrats to our top finishers Johnathon Young, Ava Mowery, Callan Stapleton and Tiffanie Pleiman.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our country. Houston students and staff: wear your red, white and blue to remember the victims who lost their lives, honor the first responders who worked to save lives and the heroes who stepped up to restore faith in humanity on that terrible day.

- Dine to Donate is tonight at Chipotle from 5-9 PM to support the Cross Country Team. Please stop by the office for a flyer.
- Cross Country competed at the Treaty City Invite over the weekend. The high school boys finished 17th with PR’s by Brennan Diehl and Nate Keating. Johnathon Young was the team’s top finisher. The high school girls finished 16th with the top finisher being Ava Mowery and a new PR for Paisley McDermit. Top finishers for junior high were Emma Davis and Callan Stapleton.

- Do you have interest in perhaps joining a branch of the military after high school? A representative from the Ohio National Guard will be in the Commons during lunch today to give information and answer questions.
