Juniors and Seniors: you received an email from Mrs. Merickel regarding our upcoming trip to Wright State University. If you would like to go, please be sure to respond to the email or talk to Mrs. Merickel in-person to attend this valuable and fun experience. Deadline to sign up is Wednesday September 30th.
Congratulations to the officers of the Philip Abbott Junior Honor Society for the 2026-2027 school year. President: Cambrynn Rauch; Vice President: Alexis Rust; and Secretary: Nolan Ludwig. The induction of new members will take place on Friday, October 2nd.
Any Houston student that goes to either the JH or HS volleyball game today will get in free. The Wildcats are taking on the Botkins Trojans, get entrance to the games for free and support the teams. JH starts at 5:00 PM, HS will start at 5:30 PM

The cross country team competed in Troy on Saturday. In the shortened 4k race for HS, the boys team finished 5th out of 21 teams in the White division race. The top finisher was Konner Pleiman. The girls top finisher was Paisley McDermit. The JH top finishers were Emma Davis and Zach Stephenson.

There will be a meeting Friday during WT for CURRENT freshman members of the Philip Abbott Junior Honor Society. We will be electing leadership for this school year and preparing for the upcoming induction. The meeting will be in Mrs. Maier’s room.

Do you know how old the Constitution of the United States is? On September 17, 1787, 39 delegates signed the Constitution in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Today marks its 239th birthday—you would need a pretty big cake to fit all of those candles.

All Sophomores are attending the Career Exploration Academy tomorrow morning. We will be outdoors, so please watch the weather; there is a chance of rain. While we will be under a roof most of the time, we will have to walk to the event and sessions, which are not covered, so please dress accordingly.

The cross country team competed at the Piqua Invite Under the Lights Saturday. We had 12 runners set season best times in this highly competitive field of 46 teams. Congratulations to Brennan, Nate, Konner, Jayden, Elizabeth, Ava, Lyla, Paisley, Kaelyn, Gabriella, Tiffanie and Hayden.Congrats to our top finishers Johnathon Young, Ava Mowery, Callan Stapleton and Tiffanie Pleiman.
