Support the Strunk Family
The Do Good Restaurant in Osgood, Ohio has chosen Dustin Strunk and family as their Tip of the Month recipient for the month of March. All tips given during the month of March will be donated to the Dustin Strunk family of Houston. Dustin is 17 years old, son to Dustin Sr. and Tashaunya, and brother to Ava (4) and Amos (2). Dustin Sr. works at Yaskawa Motoman Robotic and Tashaunya is a PRN nurse. Dustin was a member of the Houston basketball and track teams as well as a member of many student-run organizations. Dustin was diagnosed with a brain lesion November 10, 2022 after having a seizure during basketball practice. A biopsy on February 8, 2023 confirmed he had a grade 1 ganglioglioma brain tumor. Dustin was taken into surgery to remove the tumor on March 17, 2023. They were able to remove a majority of the tumor, but had to leave residual behind as to not completely take away his ability to communicate and there were complications resulting in paralysis on the right side of his body and impaired speech. Dustin has been working hard on redeveloping his speech and physical abilities. Since, he has been on a 2 year chemo plan with monthly testing to ensure there is no tumor growth adone at Nationwide Children’s in Columbus. Dustin enjoys spending time watching movies, playing alternative video game, and being with family. Let us keep the Strunk family in our daily prayers.
