Women’s Self-Defense Class

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office will be holding Women’s Self-Defense classes at Hardin-Houston Local School on November 12th and November 19th. Women will learn situational awareness, defense from common holds, ground defense, and effective body strikes. The classes are limited to 20 participants and are open to women 18 and up. The training is free to attend but will be accepting donations towards the HCC Back Pack Program at Houston. The HCC Back Pack Program is in need of items such as Cheez-It crackers, Rice Krispies Treats, juice boxes, various small snack packs, and cheese and crackers. Contact Lt.
