Houston FFA Officers Earn Gold
On January 27, 2025, District 5 Evaluations were held at Miami Valley CTC. This is an event where FFA advisors in the district gather to evaluate FFA State and American Degrees along with officer books.
Officers completing books to be evaluated included Secretary Malaiya Gross, Treasurer Emilee Earl and Reporter Sara Loraine. These young ladies spent many hours gathering, writing and organizing their respective officer books for this event. Each book is evaluated on different criteria about their chapter. Officers seek a gold rating, the highest, on each of their books. By having all officer books receive a gold rating, this allows the chapter to apply for the National Chapter Award. This is an award that allows a chapter to be nationally ranked based on the score received.
Well the results are in and we are excited to announce that Malaiya, Emilee and Sara received GOLD ratings on their books! Not only will the chapter be able to apply for the National Chapter Award, but these young ladies will walk across the stage at the Ohio FFA Convention in May to be recognized for their hard work and dedication. They will also be recognized at the annual chapter banquet for this accomplishment. Thank you ladies for your many hours spent and a job well done!
