Required Annual College Credit Plus Meeting
Houston High School will hold their mandatory College Credit Plus Meetings on Thursday February 12, 2026. This is the same day as our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conference night.6:30 PM – New CCP students and parents: any child in grades 8-11 who is interested in earning college credits for courses taken at the high school next year, who is not already enrolled in CCP courses this year.7:00 PM – Returning CCP students and parents: any child in grades 9-11 who is already in CCP and wants to continue next yearAll students planning to enroll in courses for college credit must attend an annual CCP meeting. A parent must attend with the student. The meetings are separated, as each meeting will provide specific information that is more pertinent to each group. If you have multiple children, you can attend just one meeting.At the meeting, each student will receive the required paperwork to initiate the CCP registration process. Homecoming King and Queen 2025-26
Congratulations to Luke Crim and Olivia Burks for being crowned King and Queen during Homecoming festivities on Friday, January 9th. They will preside over the homecoming dance, “Beauty and the Beast,” on Saturday, January 10th.
The Court consisted of: senior attendants Shayna Bulcher, Lylah Kennedy, Kasen Craft, and Joseph Mohler; junior attendants Konner Pleiman and Alexis West; sophomore attendants Greyson Hamilton and Zoey Kinsella; and freshman attendants Alex Ginn and Rylinn Bruner. Crown bearers were second graders Gunner Rittenhouse and Brea Sherman.

Cali Gordon signs with Kent State University Tuscarawas
Congratulations to Cali Gordon who signed on Wednesday. January 7th to bowl for the USBC collegiate at Kent State University Tuscarawas. Cali is the daughter of Valerie and Johnathan Gordon. She currently holds a career average of 174, a career high game of 234 and a high career series of 581 at Bel-Mar Lanes in Sidney, Ohio. As she has been bowling for 11 years, Cali is excited to continue her bowling career at Kent State University Tuscarawas. Cali would like to thank her friends and family for all their support through this journey.

Congratulations Luke Crim
Congratulations to Luke Crim on breaking the school record for 3-point field goals made in a game by hitting nine 3-point field goals during the game at Calvary Christian on January 7th. The previous record of six 3-point field goals made in a game was set by Chad Dulin against Franklin Monroe during the 1996-1997 season.
