Superintendent Message
Hi Wildcat parents and students, the intent of this message is to give you a broad idea of what the start of the school year will look like in mid-August. Every day we are provided with more and more information from the governor’s office, in addition to state and local health officials, regarding the status of the COVID-19 virus. With that being the case, the district’s intent is to return to the building for in person instruction at the start of the school year keeping in mind that there will be new “normals” that will be seen and practiced by our students, staff members, and parents. It is my intent to share the re-opening plan with you in the latter part of July, outlining what a school day will look like transportation-wise, during lunchtime and recess, and all other school related specifics. This will give you adequate time to plan for the start of the school year in addition for school administration to adjust for any potential state mandated changes that occur between now and when school starts. Please be patient and understanding now and throughout this entire upcoming school year as we bring our kids back to school during these unique times. Last but not least, have a wonderful and safe 4th of July holiday!
Mr. Maier
Hardin-Houston Superintendent
