Power of the Pen District
District results are in for this year’s Power of the Pen teams. Congratulations to 7th grader Deijah Weidener for placing 6th out of 72 seventh grade writers! The following seventh grade team members will join Deijah in moving forward to the Regional competition in March: Hailey McCorkle who scored 13th, followed by Kaia Kellersmith and Heidi Jenkins. The team was ranked 5th out of 17 teams.
Next, eighth grader Lylah Kennedy’s writing was impressively ranked #2 out of 61 writers. Lylah will move on to compete at Regionals in March along with Anna Tauber.
