Today our 8th graders will visit the National Museum of the Army, Arlington National Cemetery, where a wreath will be laid at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Iwo Jima Memorial, the World War II Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, and the Vietnam Memorial Wall.

First up was a visit to the National Museum of the Army.

For some reason, Mrs. Mertz thought this sign was extremely important.

Then it was on to Arlington National Cemetery.

Alex Ginn, Claire Holscher, Lilli Niswonger, and Isaac Vanover had the honor of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Next on the agenda was a visit to several memorials including the Iwo Jima Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and the Einstein Memorial.

After dinner, they continued to visit more memorials including the the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial and the World War II Memorial.
