** Update Baseball Opening Day Honoring the 1975 Houston Baseball Team **
Update: Due to unplayable field conditions, the double header against Springfield Catholic Central has been cancelled. The honoring of the 1975 Houston baseball team will be rescheduled for a later date.
This Saturday, March 23, 2019 Houston High School will be celebrating its new baseball complex’s opening day. The Wildcats will be hosting a double-header game against Springfield Catholic Central. The first game will start at 11:00 AM. In between the games, at approximately 1:30 PM, the current Houston High School baseball team will be honoring the 1975 Houston baseball team, which earned a SCAL league championship.
The district recently completed construction on the baseball field and all of the facilities associated with it. The updates include the field itself, dugouts, press box, spectator bleachers, storage area, concession stand, scoreboard, restrooms, and a new batting cage. Houston High School, the administration and athletic department would like to invite its community members and any baseball fan to come out and experience the new complex on its opening day.
